Dr. Z S Meharwal

Dr. Z S Meharwal is an Executive Director, Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery and is part of the founding team of Doctors at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. Over 30,000 surgeries, including complex heart operations, have been performed by him during his 30-year career in cardiac surgery. He is a pioneer in many of the cardiac operations in the country. Dr. Meharwal is among few cardiac surgeons performing heart transplantation and ventricular assist devices. Dr. Meharwal has been actively involved with teaching and training.
